My Air Conditioner is……

Often we receive calls from our customers saying, “My air conditioner is doing……, is this normal?

It does not matter if it is a large commercial system or a home small unit - Air-conditioning and Refrigeration equipment are designed to run for years - but they do break……and often unexpectedly.

These systems are typically subject to; temperature extremes, are exposed to the elements and have some form of gas maintained under pressure. So if you are concerned about a new or strange noise coming from your equipment, or just want to be a little more proactive to catch something before it breaks - then take the following equipment self assessment - answering yes or no to the following;

* Have you had your heater/s tested for carbon monoxide in the last 6 months?

* Is the air flow from your system strong from all vents?

* Have you had your filters cleaned in the last 6 months?

* Have you had an efficiency test carried out on your climate control system?

* Is the temperature inside your conditioned area consistent and reliable?

* Have your energy bills stayed consistent?

* Has your refrigeration equipment been serviced in the last year?

* Have you had electrical safety checks carried out on your equipment recently?

* Have the seals been inspected on your refrigeration equipment?

* Have your exhaust systems been inspected for correct operation in the last 12 months?

* Has your system been checked for gas leaks lately?

* Has the use of the area you wish to be controlled changed? (for example - do more people now work/use the space? is it used to store more stock etc…)

* Has the appearance (noise, temperature or look) of your system stayed the same over time?

If you find that you have answered no to these questions, then it is likely that your system is in need of a service or inspection to maintain its performance - and to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
